As many of our supporters will know, we have been searching for a new athlete to sponsor for a while. We are now pleased and excited to confirm that we will be working with Matthew Robertson, a young GB Paracyclyst and a 2020 Paralympic Games hopeful.
Matthew is 18 years old and has right-sided hemiplegia, which means he has limited use of the right hand side of his body and dyslexia. Matthew has been selected to be part of the GB Paracycling Foundation Programme and has his own GB coach, who he is training with towards the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
As you can imagine, Matthew’s costs are extensive and the Trust is still a very small organisation. Recognising this and with the aim of helping Matthew as much as possible, we have partnered with the Civil Service Insurance Society (CSIS) who have most generously agreed to make an additional donation to help Matthew. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to them.
We now look forward to being part of this amazing young athletes future and wish him every success in his ongoing career.
