It is hard to believe that we first met Charlotte at the London Paralympics almost 8 years ago. Since then, Charlotte has gone from strength to strength and is now a regular in the GB Women’s Basketball Team. Indeed, she was part of the Team that did so well at the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro 4 years ago and actually celebrated her 18th birthday during the tournament.
As well as being a regular for the GB Team, she is a key member of the Coventry Wheelchair Basketball Academy.
Charlotte recently returned from Toyko having taken part in the pre-Paralympic Osaka Cup tournament where the GB Team finished runners-up to Canada. However, Charlotte and her teammate, Laurie Williams, were named in the ‘Best 5’ in the Osaka Cup, underlining how important Charlotte is to the Team.
Charlotte is on the far left
All being well – and given the current Coronavirus issue it is hard to be certain of anything – Charlotte should be a key player in the Paralympics in Tokyo in the summer.
It goes without saying that we wish her and her teammates, all the best in the world.
